Match Preview

After Saturday's excellent win over 2nd Placed Broadfields United, we are on the roadthis evening making the relatively close trip to Winslow United for a Spartan South Midlands Division One Cup Quarter Final tie (k.o 7.45pm). The winners will play Buckingham Athletic at home in the Semi-Finals.

To reach this stage, The Ploughmen defeated Harefield United 2-0 in the Second Round after receiving a bye in the First Round, while for ourselves we also received a First Round bye and then traveled to Hatfield Town in the Second Round but despite being the better side, Hatfield held on for a goalless draw at 90 mins but in the penalties we were defeated 8-7 and so we thought out of the competition. We were reinstated after it came to light that Hatfield had played an ineligible player.
