R.I.P to our President.

DEREK WALLACE – PRESIDENT

It is with great sadness I have to inform you of the death of our President Derek Wallace on Saturday 24th November 2018.

As many of you know Derek and his colleague Tony Elsey started Risborough Rangers Football Club in June 1971as a team of 12 year olds who wanted to play competitive football.
Our formation led to the beginning of the Wycombe Star Junior league and Derek was a driving force behind this initial development which today sees many teams from age groups 10 to 16 years playing within a radius of 15miles from Princes Risborough.

Following his retirement from team management, Derek became the club fixture secretary and was in post when we joined the South Midland League in 1989. He retired from this appointment in 1998 but continued to help on match days and his vast experience was a major asset around our club. Unfortunately illness prevented his attendance at matches in the last couple of years but friends kept him up to date with the progress of the club he started in 1971.

Our thoughts and prayers go to family members at this very difficult time. We will hold a one minute silence prior to kick-off as a mark of respect and a special thank you to Derek for helping to establish our club that continues to flourish 47 years later.

Richard Woodward
Chairman

* There will be a Book Of Condolence that you are more than welcome to sign at the game on Saturday against Broadfields United.
