On 16 February 2025, we lost our much-loved Chairman, Richard (Woody) Woodward. It was sudden and unexpected, and it left everyone at the club in complete shock. and deeply affected those who knew him best.

Richard was a kind and humble man with a wonderfully positive outlook, and his dedication to Risborough Rangers was incredible. He leaves behind a legacy and a culture that will live on through every new generation of players, staff, volunteers, and supporters who pass through the club.

One of Richard’s wishes was for the junior and senior clubs to become one, after many years of being run as separate entities. In preserving Richard’s legacy and delivering on his wishes, the club formed a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a new Executive Team made up of dedicated people from both the Senior and Junior clubs, led by Chairman Alan Baldwin. We are now a united club, with exciting plans for today and for the future.

Our Chairman, our friend — you will never be forgotten. The custodians of this club will continue to do our very best to run it in the spirit you set out all those years ago.
