PREMIER DIVISION
Tuesday’s Premier Division action was one for the electricians as at both games the floodlights went out meaning a frantic search for those 50p coins, alas at the Broadfields United v Crawley Green the lights going out during the interval resulted in the referee abandoned the game. Better news for the fans at the Tring Athletic v Dunstable Town fixture as light was returned after a brief stoppage in the second period and manager less Dunstable held on to their slender one goal interval lead to record back to back wins. Wednesday night’s action saw Milton Keynes Irish edge past hosts Baldock Town by the odd goal in three to climb to seventh place in the standings. Full results and goalscorers are listed below.

Stotfold extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points after they defeated visiting neighbours Langford by a solitary goal watched by a crowd of 283 while second placed Ampthill Town were being held to a 2-2 draw at Northampton Sileby Rangers. At the bottom Buckingham Athletic sent hosts Penn & Tylers Green into the bottom three following their solitary goal success while Shefford Town & Campton picked up a useful point at home to Letchworth Garden City Eagles following a 2-2 draw. In the battle between the bottom two clubs it was honours even as Irchester United were held 1-1 by visiting Burton Park Wanderers. Rushden & Higham United moved into the promotion play off places when defeating their guests Bedford 3-1. Elsewhere Wellingborough Whitworth overcame visiting Raunds Town 4-1 and London Tigers continued their recent good form with a 3-1 win at Kidlington Reserves. Wednesday night’s action saw Thame United Reserves run out 3-2 winners against visiting Amersham Town, the win taking the Oxfordshire side up to eighth place.
