Top of the table Leighton Town’s lead in the championship race was cut to just one point after their 1-1 midweek draw at lowly Dunstable Town while their title rivals Risborough Rangers battled out a solitary goal win against visiting Flackwell Heath. Aylesbury Vale Dynamos picked up a useful point on their travels with a 2-2 at Harefield United and Oxhey Jets came from behind to win 2-1 at Hadley. Broadfields United went down by the odd goal in three at home against Arlesey Town while London Colney recorded an excellent 1-0 success at home against Milton Keynes Irish. The night’s other remaining fixture saw Ardley United held to a goalless draw by visiting Crawley Green. Full results and goalscorers are listed below.

HERTS SENIOR CHALLENGE CUP First Round

The two midweek Herts Senior Challenge Cup First Round ties brought about mixed fortunes for the two SSML sides in action. Both ties finished level at the end of ninety minutes which brought about the lottery of a penalty shoot-out, at Kings Langley there was joy for Harpenden Town as they won through 4-2 on spot kicks after a very creditable 1-1 draw with their higher league hosts. While at Leverstock Green there was disappointment for the hosts after holding their higher ranked opposition Berkhamsted to a goalless draw they missed out after losing the shoot-out 2-4. DIVISION ONE

Amersham Town entertained high flying Winslow United on Tuesday night ad a hard fought battle resulted in honours even after a 1-1 draw, for both clubs it was their first league draw of the new campaign. Full result and goalscorers are listed below.

BERKS & BUCKS SENIOR CUP Second Qualifying Round

LES UNDERWOOD JUNIOR CUP Second Round
