Bob Rayner reports
Firstly, I must apologise for this vague report, as I was not in attendance at the match due to being in France watching the oval balled game (Oh, how I wish footballers would respect officials like they do in Rugby). However, I am reliably informed that North Greenford United were well worth their win on Saturday as they punished Rangers' frailties in defence to race to a two-nil lead at half-time thanks to goals by Hamed and Harmes in the 26th and 35th minute respectively, with once again Rangers assisting in their own downfall with some shocking defending. North Geenford added a third just two minutes into the second period with Ewhare the scorer for the visitors, giving Rangers a mountain to climb. The home side did mount a comeback of sorts with Lewis Toomey scoring an excellent goal in the 72nd minute and in the 84th minute an own goal from the visitors gave Rangers hope. But there was to be no heroics repeated from the previous Saturday, when Rangers came back to draw after being three-one down, as North Greenford recovered their composure to see the game out and gather the three points. Another disappointing defeat for Rangers in front of a decent crowd of 180. Mark Eaton's side have now gone six games without a win, losing five of those, and it looks like he will need to recruit if things are to change. The next home game is this coming Saturday 28th September versus Edgware & Kingsbury. Kick Off at the Kamtech Stadium is 3pm.
A special thanks for the Risborough Rangers Girls Team who did a sterling job as guard of Honour on Saturday. We hope you enjoyed your day with us.
Rangers Man of the Match: Toby Nnadozie. As Rangers fans have come to expect, Toby was in the thick of the action with another tireless display in the midfield.
